today had chem prac. i was trying to test for all kinds of gases, and I was really upset I didnt get any positive results for gases, excpt for chlorine. haha. I kept on testing for carbon dioxide after adding nitric acid, cos usually we'll get a positive result. prac was quite fun really. after I added hydrogen peroxide to soln T, I started testing it for oxygen gas, and there wasnt any evolved. so i started testing it fo other gases. it was almost like i was playing with the chemicals.

but after prac, i got a shock cos my friends all said their concentrations were 0.91 and 0.92, while mine was 0.98!

the funny part of today was during the reporting period at the theatrette. Weling and Jaspreet were arguing whether potassium dichromate 6 turns from orange to green when sulphur dioxide is produced, or orange to colourless, with WL saying the former, and jaspreet saying the latter. Weiing asked me whether it wld turn greeen or colourless, and I said it wld turn green. but pam who was behind weiling kept on insisting that it wld turn colourless as well.

ME:no, it turns green!
jaspreet: no. it turns to the colour of filter paper which is white (or sth like tt)
me: FILTER PAPER is NOT green!
yusra and dhanuj who were sitting behind jaspreet: *laugh like mad* (i think yusra laughed esp hard since she doesnt really like jaspreet)
brenda: no it turns colourless since a small amt of potassium dichromate is added (or mayb she said the opposite)

*************** then the whole class starts quarreling****, and mrs khor laughs.

pam: fine, if u say green then green lah! *gives that anoying huh sound*

after which, the hot topics turns to what substance is present when sulphur dioxide is evolved.

melo says its sulphite, SO3^2-. and i say:"no i think its sulphide"

and since sulphide and sulphite sounds almost the same, the class gets confused again.

my class is so funny.

oh and yusra gave me my bdae presnt today (contributed by yusra, pam, resh and deb) THANKS A LOT! it was a book. cassandra's finishing school for boys, which unfortunately I have already read. and its also unfortunately a very sick book. but its the thought tt counts! i really appreciate yusra's effort in wrapping the bk so nicely and her very nice postcard as well as deb's note! thanks again. i always laugh when i read the postcard and the note.

jia and mich also gave me this very nice pair of slippers. nice but a tad too small. but hopefully my feet will grow smaller. Louisa gave me this gorgeous pair of earrrings! they're encrusted with pink diamantes and a rosebud. so sweet and pretty~ i'm gonna wear them for prom if i wear pink. the next day, i brought them to school to show yusra (she said they were v. nice) and one of the nice diamantes came off! but i glued it back.

i have physics practical on monday! and oh joy, im sitting right at the back. all by myself! yippee!

pam and i weighed ourselves today. we are the same weight. hahahahahahahaha. i cannot stop laughing cos PAM said i will never ever be the same weight as her.. eh pam im just kidding. ur already so skinny. if u lose more weight u;ll bcome a real skellie

had o lvl english oral today. i think the prev oral experience for the o lvl mt exam has scarred me for life permanently. My heart was beating so hard when I was reading the passage tt I forgot to pronounce women and exhibition properly. well, hopefully my conv. pulls me up. The invigilators were a thousand times nicer than the MT invigilators. during the conv, the female invigilator asked :"is there a st. margaret's pri school" when I was talking abt how my pri school friends and i lad sorta lost touch, and I said no, and was going to start talking about MY DARLING pri school, when I stopped and asked her:"erm, is that part of the qn?" and she said:"no"

went out with rtol.-jeanette, sze, alicia, liz, louisa, rebecca, sam, sharon, jia, michelle and i think i missed out someone. the occasion was for jia's bdae. we had lunch at cartel. it was real fab! the potato criss crosses were delicious! yummy. yummy. i am just salivating thinking abt it.. and nette brought this real nice choc cake topped with icing and gummies for jias birthday cake. it was really nice.. (betty crocker's instant mix) and it was real sweet of nette.

i got some fab buys today.I bought 3 pairs of earrings for 7 bucks. a pair of clovers (for o lvls) and two pairs of metallic butterflies. and I was really happy cos I got two new nail polish colours for my nail art set. alicia is so sweet, she didnt watch willy wonka cos she wanted to accompany me instead. the rest went to watch charlie and the choc factory. i like johnny depp. heh. alicia and i walked around town. alicia is really generous with presents. she spent a lot of money on melos bdae present. and she isnt tt close to melo.

i realised tt the rtol clique and the 4.6 clique are worlds apart. oh and we are gonna book a hotel suite for prom! when i last raised tt idea, the ppl whom i raised e idea to were like "NO WAY!"

todays national day celebrations in school totally rocked. the first part was quite boring.. and the fearon play was bimbotic as usual.but at least we beat tolley, which was really quite messy. anyway, during the mass sing along thing, krys, sallie and i went over to the cooke house section where the whole class was gathered(almost), and it was super super super fun. if only mr A cld have seen. too bad he didnt see, and too bad he didnt dance during the "reach out for the skies" segment. MR CHARLES LOW danced! so cute... oh, and i watched charlie and the choc. factory. i like johnny depp. and freddie highmore is so cute (as in lil boy cute)

friday is here again. it passed super super super fast, and prelims are just around the corner. on monday we did our election campaign thingy for english, and jaspreet actually slept throughout our presentation, with her mouth open.. so angel-like. but of course she isnt. speaking of jaspreet, she presented some work attachment thing during assembly today and she went:

"hi, I'm Jaspreet" and instead of pronouncing her name as jas-preet as we all do, she pronounced it sth like jaspree (rhymes with esprit, as in esprit de corps/clothes shop) and then, she said some weird stuff like "im really proud to be a Singaporean" in her very accented english> i gave a start when i heard that. i thought she always said that she loves india. singapore is this (not good comment) singapore is that (not gd comment)anyway, i kinda pitied her cos like the whole school was all commenting.. you know the kind when someone says sth very sweet, and everyone goes "awwww", but not in a nice way.

read laura and cherie and dhanuj's blog (the morphymouths) its really nice. good job to whoever who did it. mayb u cld do up my blog too? heh.

i have a lot of hw. sigh.

today i caught up with alicia abt some stuff. sze and alicia are like one of my super gd friends.. (hey its an honour!) and i'll miss them when i graduate. I'll def miss yusra and resh and deb and yan lin and melo , nu-g etc. etc. i might miss pam cherie and laura. might miss cos firstly, i think pam is still kinda weird/ and secondly cherie and laura sing too much.

speaking of pam, i shldnt have waited for her today. I reeled with shock when she told me she wanted to go off at 4.30! shld have just gone home with yusra and co.

to laura cherie and dhanuj: since when were u known as LCD?. wasnt that our bio group name? its copyrighted!
